Attorney Robert A. Bender has been practicing law in Watertown, Wisconsin since 1965 and is presently practicing in an ‘of counsel’ capacity at our firm. He received his undergraduate and law degree from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee. After many years of concentrating his efforts in civil and municipal litigation, he is now concentrating his practice on project assistance and support, lending his decades of experience to the firm. Attorney Bender is not taking on new clients.

In addition to his law practice, Attorney Bender has been active in many different community activities. He is presently a member and trustee of the Joe Davies Scholarship Foundation which provides academic scholarships to students who have graduated from many different high schools in Dodge and Jefferson Counties, Wisconsin. He is a member of the Board of Trustees and past president of the Watertown Economic Development Corporation. He is also a member of the Board of Directors of the Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church Endowment Fund.
He is a past director of the M&I Bank in Watertown and Beaver Dam, Wisconsin, a past president and member of the Board of Trustees of the Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church in Watertown, Wisconsin and a past president and member of the Board of Directors of the Watertown Country Club.

When he started practicing law, for a period of two years, he was a part time Assistant District Attorney for Jefferson County Wisconsin and for 38 years, the City Attorney for Watertown, Wisconsin. Bob is also a member of the Jefferson and Dodge County Bar Associations and the State Bar of Wisconsin.

Mr. Bender is married and has three adult children and six grandchildren whom occupy a great deal of his free time. In addition to enjoying the game of golf, he enjoys fishing and traveling with his wife.
